We understand the critical role early learning centres have on a child’s development. We saw it first hand as an Educator (working in the industry for over a decade), and now as parents following the birth of our first son and daughter. We know how important it is to have access to quality care in the First Years. This is what drove us to own and operate our own centre.
We know children are naturally curious, creative and are capable of learning from their own experiences. So we wanted to base a centre on the individual child’s needs (not improving the bottom line!) and create an environment where we can provide the right balance of intentional learning and free play.
We have a QLD Kindergarten Approved Program and work very closely with primary schools to ensure our children experience quality transitions.
We are very proud of our teams at our Early Learning Centres in Blackbutt and Elanora. Our team is looking forward to supporting your family when you join us at First Years.

Why First Years Early Learning?
We started First Years Early Learning because we are passionate about the importance of the first years on early childhood development. The first years are such a special time, we want to be a part of it and to support children and families.
We want to assist our families as much as possible, so we provide free nappies, sunscreen, hats, and three nutritional meals daily. We also offer free extra curricular activities such as sport/dance/yoga/language. We employ qualified and experienced educators and our Kindergarten program is taught by an Early Childhood Teacher.
Our centre is well equipped with open ended resources for inspiring creativity. Interactive whiteboards and iPads develop 21st Century skills, and large outdoor play spaces encourage experiences in the natural world and develop sustainability practices. We know how important it is to play outside, so we have a variety of activities and infrastructure to inspire outdoor play!
First Years Early Learning acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traditional Custodians of Country and recognises their continuing connection to land, sea, culture and community. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners and ongoing custodians of the land on which our centre is built. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge their continuing connection to Country and ways of learning for many thousands of years.
Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, and always will be.
